Lovely, unique, strudy, comfy, solid discussion starter. One-of-a-kind solid wood chair. Bought throughout a re-model of an old Catholic Cathedral in Miami. This chair was called "the Bishop's chair", reserved solely for him in the sanctuary. The process of recovering has been started, but not finished. You can see a couple of threads hanging down from the seat cover-- these are NOT scratches. I think the wood is walnut. The wood has actually been sculpted into classy elaborate style motifs consisting of gargoyle-like faces.
