I have been doing this for 5 years now. You can bring me a tripod and a lamp shade and I will turn it into a lamp. If you just have a tripod and you want to see if it can be turned into a lamp then you can send me some pictures and we can go from there. Not all tripod can be turned into a lamp because of the attachments that are on them. If you decide to get a tripod turned into a lamp but you dont have a lamp shade then I will find one that goes with the style and color of the tripod. The price is determined by the tripod. If I have to purchase a lamp shade please know that it is not included in our final price. I will supply all supplies required to make the lamp but you must buy the lamp shade. You are welcomed to bring the tripod to me so that we can go over what you want done to the tripod and to discuss any other details. I will need half of the final price up front and the reason is so that you dont change your mind in the middle of the project. It usually takes a few days but up to a week depending on the tripod. please call or text me at 850-228-XXXX and please no emails. If you have a bunch of questions please call me and leave a message if I dont answer. thank you. Usually a tripod turned into a lamp will run you about $100 and thats only if I dont have to buy a lamp shade. The picture below is just one example of a lamp that I made from a 1970's tripod.
