THIS IS NOT SPENT COMPOSTED MANURE THAT IS SOLD IN STORES!This compost is made from blends of cow manure, horse manure, hen manure, straw, hay, sawdust, spoiled forage, and mature compost. It was blended to provide sufficient nutrients for optimal plant growth. Plants started in this soil will have developed the microbial foraging systems to derive nutrients from insoluble forms bound to humus. Materials are assembled in windrows and monitored for temperature and oxygen supply. Windrows are turned as needed and composts are tested for maturity before use. Horse Manure is a time-tested bulk mushroom substrate.
