William and Mary style appears to be made of walnut and is from the Depression era of the 1930s. This antique Secretary Desk made by Sheets Mfg Co (Wapakoneta, OH), would make a good, totally practical, accent piece to any decore. Considered a desk-on-frame with a bookcase by antique appraisers, among the very early variations of the drop front desk. Glass door hutch with lock opens to display racks. Flat desktop opens to little drawers and many cubbies. Has 2 deep drawers the width of the unit, beneath desktop. The measurements are 75in high x 35in broad x 19in deep (desk depth). The bookcase/shelf area is 10.75 in deep. The desk door opens for an extra 12in of work space. Great condition overall.
