Description:
Antique rocker made by the Oregon Chair Company. The business was bought by the Heywood Brothers and Wakefield Company in 1921so this chair predates that. Study has suggested that the Oregon Chair Co was as respected as Stickley in its day. A sweet tiny chair with excellent lines. This is an objective design rocker. Quarter sawn oak, pegged joints. The leather cushion is initial. This chair has actually been thoroughly kept so not currently being utilized. It was utilized by my other half's grandparents from the very early to mid 1900's. Comes from a smoke complimentary environment. Chair is used - antique - so shows signs of typical wear.
