Unusual Vintage Straight Backed Chair. Stamped into wood is insignia that reads " Artes de Mexico Iternacionales S.A." Online research states that this Co. was started in 1960 by architect J.B. Johnson and stopped trading by 1987.Seat and back of chair is made of saddle leather. There is no padding, just the piece of leather nailed into the chair as shown in pics. Chair is held together "dovetail" style. It does need to be tightened up a little, but is quite sturdy and comfortable. Chair measures 44" from floor to top of back...finials are 3" so total from floor to top of finial is 48"...18" Wide...Seat is 18" X 18".
