This is a really unique example of an extremely cool Conn 4H trombone from around 1907. Judging by the horn’s awesome patina, I believe it is silver plated. The horn needs a professional cleaning and service but it is in very good condition for it’s age. It has very few dents and the slide is in quite decent shape for being 116 years old. There is a minor dent in one of the outer tubes that slows the slide down in the farther positions but it could be a lot worse. This would make a fantastic restoration project. It actually plays quite well and could make a really cool patina-ed jazz horn. The bell section is friction-fit and needs to be adjusted, as it doesn’t hold very tightly. It also needs a new spit valve cork, which is unsurprising for a 116-year old horn. The horn comes with the original mouthpiece and a vintage Reynolds case.Please let me know if you would like any more pictures or have any questions.
