Great Vintage 1978 Jose Ramirez 1a Cedar & Rosewood Classical Guitar w/CaseThis guitar is a piece of history considered to be one of the milestones in the evolution of the modern classical full body guitar shape developed by José Ramirez III in the 60’s with the collaboration of Andrés Segovia. It was the only instrument used by the master in the last years of his life, which is why it is known it as the “Segovia model”. As a part of this era of innovation at the Ramirez shop the 1978 1a models are highly desirable to collectors and players alike. This guitar plays beautifully with Ramirez's distinctive unique old world sound. It was previously owned and played by a classical teacher and professional musician. It is in near excellent condition for it's age. There are 2 barely visible professionally repaired hairline cracks. This is a world class instrument that deserves to be with a more dedicated player than myself. A truly great guitar made in Ramirez's shop in what some people consider it's prime time in the 60's and 70's with Andre Segovia's input.The scale length is 664 mm and the nut width 54 mm.
