Vintage Band Selmer Cornet with Case Skyline Antique Paper MusicThis cornet belonged to a girl born in 1926. Probably purchase by her father in the late 1930’s. She was the only one that ever owned it!It is all original, authentic, we think it is a brass cornet. Has 3 keys with ends of inlay pearl. The mouth piece is marked Selmer x13 and looks like it is silver plated. Etching on bell of the horn part says Manhattan. The horn is about 17 ¾ inches long and 4 ½ inches across on the bell. The horn shows lots of age and wear. There are several dents, scratches to the finish but over-all for the age (at least over 80 years old) I think it is in good condition.Selmer brass label on Case! Case is black with dark purple velvet lining, leather handle and 2 brass catches with the original keys to lock case included. Also included is a brass music holder. Has old bottle of DALBEY’S trombone oil.
