Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list!This listing is for a vintage Holton Collegiate Bb cornet. The number C602 is stamped on the lead pipe. The serial number is 504030. I'm not exactly sure how old it is. This instrument is being sold as is for parts or repair. I'll describe its defects to the best of my ability, but please understand that I am not an expert on this type of instrument (I'm a woodwind guy), so I might miss something. Also, check the pictures closely, and if in doubt, ask questions! There are no major dents, but there are pings and nicks throughout, including on the "U" bend behind the bell. The rim of the bell is in good condition. There are many resoldered joints, including a couple that need to be soldered again. None of the tuning slides are stuck, however I was not able to fully remove the 3rd valve slide due to the thumb ring being stuck. The slide will pull out though. I was able to unscrew all of the upper and lower valve caps and remove the pistons. The satin silver finish is well worn, and tarnished throughout. This is former school horn that has been retired by the district that owned it. As such, it has a school inventory marking hand etched on it.This horn comes in a plastic shell case. The case is in good condition. The interior is clean and odor free, with minimal wear and tear. The exterior has minor scuffs and such, but the plastic shell isn't cracked anywhere.The school inventory number is written on the exterior of the case in white permanent marker.There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included.Please feel free to message me with any questions!Thanks again for looking!MPSlot4
