This is a lot containing the following three items (1) 15" Mac PowerBook G4 laptop + charger + already installed OS/software http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/apple-powerbook-g4-15/4505-3121_7-31278846.html (2) Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac software (not currently installed) http://reviews.cnet.com/office-suites/microsoft-office-2004-for/4505-3524_7-30671176.html (3) Lacie external firewire CD/DVD burner (RW) http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=11001 (more recent version of same model) The reason for this idiosyncratic arrangement is that I want the convenience of getting rid of these things all together with no haggling. I bought the laptop, software, and DVD burner in 2000. I used the laptop for 5 years, then received funding to purchase a new computer. I gradually stopped using the laptop. The laptop does not have a SuperDrive, so the DVD burner is a nice complement. Please only contact me if you are: (1) willing to take all items together and at the price listed ($450) (2) serious about purchasing the items, ie, once you come and view the items and confirm that they are as advertised, you would want to buy them and would be able to pay in cash or money order Information about the items is listed below: (1) 15" Mac PowerBook G4 laptop + charger + already installed OS/software caveats: * useable but not original condition * dropped it once, so there is a dent in casing (see pictures) * screen has bright patches (see pictures), so either you would sell the laptop for parts, repair the screen (I once asked the Apple store to repair this, and they said it would cost ~$200), or live with the screen as is (this is what I did, you get used to it pretty easily and it doesn't interfere with anything) * besides the Microsoft Office 2004, no original software/discs * power adapter works when plugged into laptop at most, but not all, angles features: * Mac OSX 10.4.8 installed (Leopard) * 1 GHz CPU speed * 512 MB RAM * 55 GB Hard drive * AC power adapter/charger * DVI/VGA Adapter * AirPort Extreme 405.1 wireless card * CD/DVD drive -- can write CDs, but cannot write DVDs * Software already installed includes - Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional - Adobe Photoshop CS + InDesign, GoLive - Backup - Endnote 8 - GraphicConverter - iMovie HD - iLife suite (iPhoto, iCal, iChat, iDVD3, iSync, iTunes, etc) - Keynote - Microsoft Office X - Norton AntiVirus - Toast 6 Titanium * hard drive not wiped as much of the software listed above is valuable, but could be easily wiped (all my personal data is gone) * can be used as is, refurbished and resold for profit, sold for parts; current quality is somewhere in between a used laptop in good condition and a laptop that can?????????????????t be used anymore and needs to be sold for parts, so I?????????????????ve taken these rates into consideration - going rate for a used powerbook G4 15????????????? in good condition: ~$600 - going rate for a used powerbook G4 15????????????? being sold for parts: ~$200 (2) Microsoft Office 2004 for mac * Entourage * PowerPoint * Word * Excel * a newer version of office is currently installed on the laptop (Office X) (3) LaCie CD/DVD burner Caveats: I no longer have the original box/info/discs, but Roxio Toast 6 Titanium is installed on the laptop. I just used it to burn data to DVD, and it worked beautifully, so you should be set. * 8x * hardly used since purchase, mint condition * has two firewire ports + headphone port * comes with AC power adapter/charger + firewire cable
