56 capacitors, including the hard to get to optical transport caps, were removed and replaced with high quality replacements (LOW ESR Nichicon/Rubycon/Panasonic/etc).All front panel buttons have been cleaned with Deoxit Dn5 and tested, laser pickup lightly cleaned. This unit is in overall very good cosmetic condition considering it's age. It is readily apparent that this unit lived it's entire life in a NON smoking environment. Zero evidence of tar or film.Note front panel overlay is slightly bubbled near the volume and phones jack (see pics) This unit has been tested with brand new condition store bought CDs. These players will not play burned discs. Please note that in accordance with the factory service manual, the IR sensor has been disabled with jumper wires in the rear port. These very early IR sensors were notorious for false commands and operational issues in a typical lighted environment.No remote is included. A brand new power cord is included. Also included are all of the old original capacitors for your reference. Please note that the two front illumination lamps HAVE NOT been replaced. This intentional.It is my experience that the heat generated from these incandescent lamps can and will degrade nearby plastics over time, therefore I do not recommend or offer replacement. This is a vintage unit and as such is being sold AS IS.
