I play trumpet and cornet with a municipal brass band still. I play Eb cornet in one of the bands I participate in, and Bb cornet in a municipal band. I have played since 1960 or so. I taught band for a while, and have played and collected cornets and trumpets all these years. I presently play Eb Soprano and Piccolo trumpet for a local Brass Band. I have reached critical mass in my collection and will be selling a few horns at a time.This auction includes the Trumpet, with case, and mouthpiece. My little devil is not included! I recently got this in a trade for a CarolBrass Pic from a local pro player and teacher. I already had anolher Stomvi pic, or I would have kept this one. I had a Schilke P5-4, but found the Stomvi Elite pic worked just as well for me, and went ahead and accepted this in trade. This one has both Bb and A cornet shanks plus an extra slide for the fourth valve that changes the 4th valve from a fourth to a full step.This horn is absolutely MINT. It also includes extra springs and valve guides from the factory. CONDITION: This instrument is MINT!. I cleaned the instrument inside and out, and found no problems. The horn comes with extra springs and valve guides, and both Bb and A leadpipes, and a shorter slide that converts the 4th valve slide from a fourth interval to a full step, like the first valve that gives more versatitlity to the horn.CASE: The case is like new and is really great to have.MOUTHPIECE: A Kanstul M- AP 2 (Monette copy) with cornet shank to fit the leadpipes.Shipping: Shipping in the continental US will be actual cost. I am an experienced trumpet player, collector, and teacher. I have collected, repaired, and played trumpets for over 48 years. As a knowledgeable and experienced amateur, I have a lower cost of operation than a commercial enterprise, and can keep my costs low. You can see from my eBay rating that I have been careful to insure that I only supply quality instruments, and inspect, prepare, and describe them properly. I have thoroughly inspected this instrument, replaced the felts and corks and aligned the valves as needed, and made sure that it plays properly, and has proper tone for your beginner. I have cleaned the instrument thoroughly, polished all slides to prevent corrosion from locking the slides and valves, and properly lubricated the instrument with high quality lubricant. Finally, I have been asked whether this is recommended as a student instrument, and I can say that these instruments have been highly rated by many teachers for beginners and advanced players, but I suggest that anyone buying an instrument for a younger student ask his or her teachers if they agree with that brand. Many teachers do have preferences, and this can affect a student's progress. I will, however, flatly state that many of the "bargain basement" new instruments from the unknown manufacturers (even when they are branded, you may not know who made them) are inferior. Parts for repair, or even the repairs themselves are not available, due to odd pieces, or inferior materials. Internal dimensions and correct alloys are critical on all musical instruments. A shiny (or odd colored) instrument with inferior playing qualities will soon discourage even the most eager student. THIS INSTRUMENT IS SOLD AS IS. THIS DESCRIPTION IS AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE.
