Late 1960s / early 70s vintage Romeo Di Giorgio Brazilian guitar. Features the unique "3 star" gold label (sonority, perfection, guarantee).The wooden headstock has the floral motif carvings and is stamped/woodburned on the back with Romeo Di Giorgio Pao Paulo on the reverse side. The tuners are the 3 clover leaf design by Horvath Company. VIOLOES DE ALTA CLASSEThe gold label on the inside show this is the Tip Autor (Type Author) No.34 model; one of the top factory models of the late 60s/early 70s. This particular instrument has not suffered the bridge-to-tail-block-crack so common to these vintage Di Giorgio guitars. This model is indicated with the additional label "GS Sonoridade". These vintage guitars were made (c.1965 onwards) with top in pine, jacaranda sides, back and with necks of cedar and jacaranda fretboards. The hardshell case included is of unique character on its own; heavy weathered with love; skinned with a fuax reptile covering and featuring a makeshift but wholly trustworthy tweed-like handle as shown (very comfy and soft in the hand, btw)The guitar itself is in remarkable condition by any measure; especially for its long life of romance and heartache. It was somewhat recently taken to a guitar technician for restringing and currently holds nylon in the upper three registers and steel in the lower 3 registers for its own unique voice (receipt included). The action on the fretboard is absolutely lovely (tried to get a shot).Get ready to enjoy a relationship with this stunning, well cared for example of the Brazilian Di Giorgio luthers.
