Check out my other items!Be sure to add me to your favorites list!This listing is for a lot of two vintage silver plated slide trombones. One is a Reynolds Emperor, and the other is a Holton Collegiate. These are being sold as is for parts or repair, and should be presumed to not be in playing condition in their current state. These are former school horns that have been retired by the district that owned them. As such, they have taken their share of knocks. They also have school ID markings etched on the bells, and written on the cases. Below are specifics on the condition of each instrument.Reynolds Medalist - The rim of the bell is slightly wavy. There are small dings and pings on the bell section, but nothing too significant. There is an area on the bell where the metal is stretched/rippled from some bad dent work. There is denting on the "U" bend of the tuning slide. There are minor pings on the "U" bend of the main slide, and the nub on the end is pushed in. There are three resoldered joints, with varying degrees of excess solder around them. The tuning slide isn't stuck. There are dents and flat spots on the "U" bend of the tuning slide. The main slide has oxidation on the inner tubing, and is not operating smoothly. The silver plate finish is 90% intact, with light tarnish. This horn comes in a newer plastic shell case that is in good condition except that the lid requires a bit of manipulation to get the latches to line up properly.Holton TR602 Collegiate - The rim of the bell is ever so slightly slightly wavy. There are minor pings and nicks on the bell section, but nothing too significant. There are a few minor dents on the "U" bend of the tuning slide. The "U" bend of the main slide is dent free. There is one possibly resoldered joint, but it is solid with no excess solder. The tuning slide isn't stuck. There are a few dents and flat spots on the "U" bend of the tuning slide. The main slide has no visual damage, but it is not operating smoothly. Part of the slide lock mechanism is missing. The silver plate finish is 90% intact, with light tarnish. This horn comes in a plastic shell case that is in good condition except for a couple small chunks of the outer shell that are busted out.There are no mouthpieces, nor any other accessories included with these instruments.
