Well, it's official: spring is coming early. Do you have a beautiful bike ready?Thinning my herd. Found this well loved beauty for sale by the original owner in a bike shop while on a ride and couldn't pass it up. Couple years and a lot of fun miles later I'm ready to release it back into the wild and let someone else enjoy this well engineered and built beautiful piece of history. Look at those lugs! Joe Bell paint! Rivendell started building in 1995. This is a 1997 (year handwritten on steer tube). I still had my first rollerblades then...Here's a nice write up of a similar build: https://www.dahlquistcycleworks.com/1997-rivendell-road-standard.htmlWill throw in a vintage Berthoud front bag (I got a bigger one) and the original MKS pedals with toe clips and straps that came with it. SPD pedals pictured included as well. As you might guess from the pics, I'm tall. 6'4" tall. This is one of the better fitting bikes I've owned. Comfy going short and fast and long and slow on centuries. It was really fun riding around Acadia National Park. Will take much shorter riders. Not sure how much taller you could go. It measures ~57cm center crank to center top tube and ~58cm center head tube to center seat tube. I don't know if I ever measured crank arm length but I'd guess 175 or 170. Sum of the parts: TA Specialites triple cranks, Phil hubs, Mavic Rims (36 rear - 32 front), Ultegra front derailleur, 105 rear derailleur, Shimano 3 x 7 brifters, Brooks Swift Honey saddle, long alloy seatpost, Nitto pearl stem, Nitto Handlebars, Brooks microfiber bar tape, Velo Orange front rack with built in decaleur holder (removable round piece on top there). Panaracer Paseo 32 tires. It's like France, Japan, USA, and England had a baby.
