This complete 1987 Stumpjumper has had only one owner (me) and has spent its life on the trails of Marin County, California, the birthplace of mountain biking. It has not been ridden since 2001, which is why the tires are so old. It has always been stored, hanging in a dry garage. As with any used bicycle, there are components that should be inspected and replaced if needed, such as brake shoes, tires, cables and tubes. Tires, saddles, brake pads, grips, drivetrains and other components are highly personal to each unique rider, so I've left the bike as shown, except for a basic tune-up of the derailleurs.The original color was what Shimano called "DiNucci Green." I got tired of the color quickly and sprayed the frame a flat grey. In wear areas, some of the original bright green paint is visible.The only components that aren't original are the wheels, handlebar & stem, saddle, and common wear items like brake shoes, cables, chain, some of the freewheel cogs and chain rings, grips, tires and tubes.The bike is being sold as shown, weighs 25 lbs., and does not come with pedals.The bike will arrive partially disassembled, as it will have been packed carefully for shipping in a bike box.Details:Frame/Fork: Cro-Mo/Cro-Mo UnicrownSeat tube 18", Top tube 21-1/2", Head tube 4" (I'm 5'7" with a 32" inseam and the fit is perfect as set up.
