This is a Conn Burkle 32H, named after Jake Burkle, who was Conn's trombone designer for over 50 years. Serial #400xxx, which dates this horn to 1952. Dual bore, with upper slide at about 0.500" and the larger bore at 0.522". When designed, this was considered a large bore horn, and is now a small to medium bore horn. 7 and 3/8 inch bell.The slide does have wear spots on both stockings but slides very well for all that. This horn is fresh from the shop and was flushed, had the slide repaired, and any dents taken out. There are still numerous dings, which are to be expected in a horn this age, but none affect playability. The water key did leak, but does no longer. Takes a small shank mouthpiece, A Bach 15C is provided. The Burkle trombones were renowned for ease of playing in all registers, but especially high notes. They weren't very numerous and were always high priced, but looking at the cost of new trombones now, maybe a professional trombone at the listed price isn't that expensive any more. Lubricant is included for the slide.Comes with a case that suffered some recent damage, but it will still protect the horn. Seller ships to the lower 48 states only.
