Shanklin F4A F-4A Horizontal Flow Wrapper Automatic Continuous motion Form Fill ITEM LOCATED NEAR AUGUSTA GA Shanklin F4A. Continuous motion Form Fill Seal with Static longitudinal seal and wire end seal. End seal dimensions are 6" X 16". (NOTE that this is the exact height and width of the end seal opening. Package dimensions would be slightly less) Package circumference cannot exceed 38". Delivery system is an 8'lugged/flighted infeed. Speed (by Shanklin Corp OEM) is rated at up to 75 ppm, but there are a lot of variables in this claim especially product length and height. 35 - 60 ppm is probably a more practical estimate. This unit uses a split-belt end seal area with a photo eye to detect end-seal placement which makes it very easy to adjust package seal length and bag length. More flexible that the mechanically linked units. Better/faster for product changeover. This unit uses a wire seal cut-off which makes it well suited for intermittent start-up in batch environments.
