Really cool circa 1940s or 1950s graphite drawing of four Puerto Rican and/or African American baseball players by by Walter E Cohen (1912- 2004), a Baltimore native who studied at Maryland Institute College of Art. Drawing measures 11" by 14". Bears artist's estate stamp on reverse. Excellent condition. Great and rare image.Purchased with group of paintings from the artist's estate. Cohen was a longtime resident of Bergen County NJ, born in 1912 in Baltimore and was an honorary graduate of the Maryland Institute of Art. He was involved in advertising, fine art and was also a writer.
