Great graphite drawing of the bust of a woman circa 1930s by Walter E Cohen (1912- 2004), a Baltimore native who studied at Maryland Institute College of Art. Finished image of woman measures 4.5" by 5.75" on larger sheet with multiple sketches 11.75" by 17.5". Bears artist's estate stamp on reverse. Excellent condition. Buyer may want to frame the finished sketch separately or keep the sheet intact.Purchased with group of paintings from the artist's estate. Cohen was a longtime resident of Bergen County NJ, born in 1912 in Baltimore and was an honorary graduate of the Maryland Institute of Art. He was involved in advertising, fine art and was also a writer.
