I purchased this Macbook Pro in October 2007 brand new for $1999, and it still runs virtually just as well as when I first booted it up (one of the beautiful things about Macs!). During the last three and a half years I've had another laptop provided to me through my job, so I've used the Macbook very little during that time. A few days ago, to test its current performance, I used it to finish putting together a stop-motion video using iMovie. It has essentially no lag. You wouldn't know it was 5 years old by looking at and using it. I can really only think of one thing that's "wrong" with it: the right-click on the track pad is a bit finicky, but I get around that easily by just using shift+left click or using a mouse. Comes with a BRAND NEW battery. I can either wipe the hard drive clean for you, or sell it with Microsoft Office for Mac 2011, iWork '09, and iLife '11 preinstalled.
