1890s Antique Sterling silver match case
This is a magnificent piece. We estimate that this safe dates to the 1890s. Note the enlarged detail photo. You will see various markings. The first, "WHS", is the maker's mark. The anchor indicates that it was made in Birmingham, England. The lion indicates Sterling silver. The "e" shows that it has been presented for assaying (the letters change annually).
