Description:
For sale is this Antique Tuxedo Sewing Machine with Wood and Cast Iron Desk. Machine is well oiled and runs smoothly, the foot pedal also runs smoothly (I believe the machine was in use up until we bought it). Both machine and cast iron part have the TUXEDO name on them. The leather strap does come with the machine, but will need to be repaired as it snapped this winter. The wooden part of the desk will need some work: the veneer on the top has peeled off and sanded, the side bored is warped, the draws are in working order, however, one is missing a handle and only two of the three have handles that match; the back of the desk may also need some extra repair as the draws can be pushed too far back. All four wheels are intact. The machine and the cast iron part of the desk have some light rusting, which can be fixed easily with a rust spray paint found at Lowes. We were really hoping to fix this machine ourselves, however, we have neither the time nor the space to do it. Even in its current condition it could be used as decoration.
