There are a very few small pings in the bell flare, and a few larger dents in the bow and 1st branch, but not severe. The lacquer is excellent, clean and shiny. This tuba is in wonderful mechanical condition, all rotors are smooth and fast, the linkages are excellent, with a smooth and quiet action. Spring tensions are excellent. All slides pull easily. This horn gives a lot of bang for the buck, versus comparable playing instruments which cost alot more. This is a free-blowing horn, with a great upper and lower registers, and a rich tone.
