I'm selling my beautiful pink & white 51cm Jamis Ventura Race Women's road bike because I just upgraded to a steel frame. I'm 5'6" and it fits well. It's the "medium" of the frame choices. I bought the bike to see if I liked the sport and I do. I rode Ride the Rockies last year on this bike and had a blast. I love this bike. The bike has been tuned up yearly and is running great. It is used and has a few nicks.
This is a PERFECT bike to introduce someone to road biking. It has pedals that will fit an spd shoe on one side and a normal shoe on the other. In other words, you can commute to work or downtown or wherever on this bike with normal shoes or heels for that matter. As a beginner I wasn't so sure about the clip in pedals, so it was nice to warm up to them.
I bought the Jamis because it is a respected and little known brand and the bike comes with nicer components (carbon stays, fork, seatpost, shimano 105 & tiagra) then some of the entry level road bikes.
Additionally, I have replaced the handlebars with smaller ones. It also has white bar tape - very classy. The bike will come with a saddle, the pedals described above, 2 bottle cages and a computer that works sometimes but not always.
Unfortunately my new bike doesn't match my accessories soo... I also have a medium pink Giro helmet I could part with for an additional $15. I have 2 barely used adorable Sherpani bags that match the bike well for an additional $30. (green, blue & brown; top tube bag Celli & saddle bag Soltera). I could throw in my awesome 2 pink water bottles too for $5. So it would be an add'l $50 for the accessories described above. I can still use these on my new bike, but they match the pink bike.
