Specialized RockHopper Comp FS Mountain Bike

To sell it.
San Francisco, CA
I'm selling my RockHopper Comp FS mountain bike (medium sized, 55cm, 21 speed), the frame is from 1996 and was still in its original packaging when I bought it. With help from local SF bike shops and biker friends I put the bike together. The price is 550 or best offer. These are the specsRockShox Judy XC Long Travel shocks (100mm) each shock has adjustable preload via red knobs at the top of them, It has a Sunrim Rhyno Lite wheel-set which are doubled walled and super tough, Shimano Deore LX shifters, Shimano Deore front and rear derailleurs, SRAM bottom bracket and crankset, Deore V-brakes (the pads have plenty of rubber left, I haven't ridden the bike enough to even wear them down), Aluminum handlebars, a Reynolds Ouzo Race 7050 stem, "A Head Set" head set with carbon fiber spacers, Wellgo pedals, Specialized HardRocker 26x1.95 tires with plenty of tread on them, the bike can fit 26x2.1's. I just got the rear derailleur replaced, and the whole bike was looked over by Avenue Cyclery while it was fixed. The bike has mounts for a disc brake in the front, but not in the back, if you wanted you could easily weld mounts on. I didn't ride the bike very often, but I took very good care of it, the chain never went without T9 (lube) for long and I made sure to clean it after every ride. The paint job is pretty special, a fantastic blue with metallic sparkle, I made sure to protect the important parts of the paint job. I put thick tape over the down tube and rear drop outs so stones and rocks wouldn't scratch it up. I also put tape over the top of the chain-side rear drop out so the chain wouldn't scratch the paint when going over bumps. The bike rides wonderfully, it will tackle whatever track you throw at it. The I also kept the shocks very clean and always had the shock-boots on. Thanks for checking out my bike.
