I have a Banjo-Mandolin dated someplace in the early 1920's made by C. Bruno & Sons. "The Vernon" Banjo-Mandolin that I have is in excellent shape with absolutely no breaking, cosmetic, or structural concerns that I have discovered or that I know. As far as I understand it is all initial, with the only problem of some fret wear around the very first 5 or 6 frets. I am in fact taking it today to consider getting it re-fretted. It has an excellent old time "jug-band" noise to it, with a lot of volume however not the volume of the bigger hoop banjo-mandolins that can get frustrating and overpowering. As far as volume and sound this one, it is ideal, somewhere quieter than the larger hoop ones and louder than a common mandolin. I do not have the initial case for it, however I have a gig-bag that I use now and I am also making inquiries on a hard shell case for it when I getting it looked at for re-fretting today. These are very rare and they are hard to find any info on. I have found that C. Bruno & Sons drew back in the 1830's by C. Bruno and C.F. Martin, yes that's right the C.F. Martin. But Martin proceeded a few years later to his own undertakings which exercised respectable for him. I have actually seen a just a few them online and this one is in better shape than any I have actually seen. I am asking $600.00 or finest offer for this instrument.
