1970s Aria AD 18 Model 9040, Nagoya, Japan. Back from shop and ready to play

1970/71 Aria 9040. Made in Naygoya, Japan. Very Nice condition with original chipboard case. Inside body stamped AD18 (see picture) Stands for Aria Deadnought 18. This is a pre-lawsuit very, very good copy of a Martin D-18. High quaility materials Spruce and Mohogany, beautiful wood grains. This guitar has the same specs as a Martin d18 street ledgen right down to the tortise pickguard and inside bracing. 1 3/4" nut, 25.4" scale, 20 frets. low oval taperd neck. Full functional truss rod with adjustable bridge makes for a easy set up. This guitar was listed thur Memorial day at same price as a fixer uper. Had everything corrected and it plays and sounds great. There was some bulging of the body due to dehydration and the bridge was way pitched forward. Guitar was rehydrated and bulging was corrected with a JLD Bridge Buddy the restrung with D'Addario EJ23 .009/.045s. See last few pictures. Action has been set ultra low and plays great. The bridge buddy has given the guitar better sustain as well. Guitar has only very light scratches that are hard to see. No deep scratches, no chips. No neck seperation. Bridge is firmly attached and level with some cracking at the pin holes but stable. There is a small puncture at bottom of guitar about the size of a dime, from me bumping into a coffie table. (see last picture). The coffie table did not survive the confrontation that followed. The chipboard case is showing it's age with popping threads, rusting hardware and plenty of scuffs and scatches but it's still doing it's job. Overall condition of this 50 year old guitar is very good. Happy to answer any questions. Will use extreme caution when packing for shipment. Standard shipping is inside 48 states only.
