This was a project bike that I undertook in 2001. As a Bridgestone aficionado, I wanted a truly mint 1993 Bridgestone MB1. I found the frame, the cleanest example of a ’93 MB1 that I’ve ever seen, on eBay, and started to gather parts. Grant Petersen, himself, supplied me with the OEM hubs. I sourced the parts over several months and built it. The only things that are not original spec are the tires and the non-drive side crank arm. It also has period-appropriate upgrades, including an XT headset and Kool-Stop pads in salmon.As you can see, the frame is spotless. I've only ridden this bike once at an exhibition of 90's mountain bikes. This bike won "best in show," winning me a Marzocchi fork.I considered parting this out and still might consider it if someone gives me the right offer on the frame.
