2 piece, unsure of wood type, but it is a darker walnut stain is how I would describe it. Top secures to bottom, so easy to move. There are a few surface scratches on it, but we just get some Old English and shine it up twice a year and you can hardly tell. Items in the picture inside the hutch are not included. You will need to bring someone with you to load. Will consider delivery in immediate area for extra price, to be discussed at time of purchase.Lights up on the inside, glass shelves, gorgeous, but with the addition of Grandkids, I need more room in my kitchen. There are drawers, and then both sides on the lower part open. On the hutch, there are 4 glass doors. This piece is solid, and I really hate to part with it.
