This a period piece in untouched condition. There is plenty of expected wear and tear. One short tear in the leather is about a half inch long. Could be repaired. Since this leather is original, a repair would be more desirable than a replacement. The OAK frame has plenty of scuffs and edge roughness, and some age cracks as would be expected. The OAK wooden frame is very sturdy and substantial.
