Essentially, the "Standard" Model is an upgraded Bach TR-200 Trumpet. Upgrades include a very nice engraved bell and the nice Stradivarius-style case.The "Standard"Model was made for especially for Brook Mays Music to market some years back. 570,XXX serial #. Made in Elkhart, Ind (good thing!) around 2001-2. This horn has a similar "square-er" style main tuning slide (like the Stradivarius Model) that helps give the horn that nice resistance and famous Bach sound and feel. The valves are as good as any Bach I've ever used. It is a ML (medium large bore) trumpet. PERFECT step-up horn, a good vintage, and at a very good price. I've played professionally for many years and would be happy to A-B my Stradivarius vs. this Standard for you. They sound and play very similar and a student could progress a long way on this trumpet. $595.00I've also got a couple of other things, too. One is a very good condition King 601 Trumpet. Perfect beginner setup. Has a 1st valve slide saddle and 3rd slide ring. These 601's sound great, are well-made and are good players. I should have it all cleaned up, lubricated and ready to go by the afternoon of May 21st. A decent black Pro-Tec case is included. If you have a specific mouthpiece request, ask and I'll look through the collection. I probably have a good Bach 7C or 5C I can supply with it. This is a little older model trumpet and may not be on your school's "preferred list". That said, most band directors will not mind a good King 601 Trumpet in your student's hands, but email or call and ask first to make sure. $225 OBO.Also... a Martin ("The Martin" Model) Cornet.
