Carvin AE185 Electric-Acoustic Hybrid Semi-Hollow GuitarOriginal Hardshell CaseExcellent ConditionMade in the USA in 1999.This beautiful lightweight guitar has both Humbuckers and a Piezo pickup under bridge. I personally love these guitars, partly because of the acoustic-style bridge mounted on a semi-hollow body, which gives a more authentic acoustic sound. One flick of a switch and you turn your electric guitar into a pretty good sounding acoustic.Bridge is Ebony with saddle. Top is Quilted Maple and body has a Gloss GreenBurst finish through out. Neck is C Shaped Through Body and has an Ebony Fretboard with Dots. Black hardware. Humbuckers have Coil Taps for each and a Phase Switch. There are two output jacks: one is the main out and a second which works only when a plug is connected to Main to send Piezo signal to a different sound source. There is a blend knob which blends both Acoustic and Humbuckers through main jack.I like to send the humbuckers to a regular guitar amp and the piezo acoustic signal to either a PA or an acoustic amp. You can use the blend knob to create 3-D soundscapes.There is a 9V battery box on the back for the piezo preamp.Comes with Carvin Molded case. Recently checked by tech and determined to be working exactly as designed.
