Fender Precision Bass Neck - Fretless - Maple - 1973. Heal is stamped "5 Jan 73 B". 5 is the Fender model number (Precision Bass) - January of 1973 - B width (1.6" at the nut). Big original CBS era headstock logo. 4 bolt mounting. Will fit all Precision Basses made after mid 1957. There is a little wear and tear on the back of the neck - the most noticeable being a piece of the polyurethane finish on the back of the treble side of the neck at about the 5th fret as shown in the pictures. There are also some small dents in the finish on the back of the neck just below the nut. All are purely cosmetic, and the neck is rock solid with functioning truss rod. I brought it into a local shop that does re-finishing, and their recommendation was "leave it alone". The front of the neck is in pretty darn good condition for being 51 years old and all original. Tuner grommets and string retainer are included. I also have a set of correct Fender trademarked tuning machines (with 16 screws) available for an additional $300.
