Super cool Chiquita Travel Guitar. Legend has it these were designed by Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. You can find him playing one in concert on YouTube. Anyway, this is a truly nice/rare one with both the humbucker and single coil pickup (most simply have the humbucker). Comes with the initial difficult case and battery powered amp. Amp presently does not work. I don't know much about electronics, but all the parts look intact. Electrical wiring looks old, but I believe it might be made to work once again. A yellow variation of this guitar is made use of in the opening shot of "Back to the Future". When Marty blows up the huge amplifier, he's playing among these guitars. This Chiquita is in excellent shape. Frets are in great shape. (One small ding on the back ... see the photo. The little white arrow is pointing to the ding, however isn't really an imperfection ... just the ding.) Plastic humbucker ring is broken, but functional. Cheap / simple to replace. I choose not to take care of so the guitar stays in initial condition. Had it restrung and established by the great folks at Guitar Dock a couple of weeks back. It plays terrific and has nothing else concerns. Asking $400. You can do your study on Ebay and see that these hardly ever turned up for sale and go fast. They are almost never ever in this condition with single coil, case, and mini amp. I've owned the guitar for some time now and enjoyed it greatly, but it's time to pass it on considering that it never gets played. Act rapidly, I prepare to leave this up on C.L. for a short time. If it doesn't move in your area, I'll put it up on Ebay where I'm positive it will sell. Would likewise consider trades for other electrical guitars.E-mail with inquires. Thanks.
