Midcentury design of these chairs by Heywood-Wakefield. They are ready for reupholstering on the seats. A terrific set of THREE Heywood Wakefield chairs being offered. They have been repainted white (resembles 2 relatively cool coats). The style is very uncommon, as I have not discovered them in any listings. One has actually been reupholstered in the past, the other 2 seats are stripped and prepared for your selection of fabric. The original tags are on each of the seat bottoms, and a stamp specifying "examined Feb. X 1960". These are the real mid-century modern, quality strong wood furnishings! There have actually never ever been any repair works or fractures and the joints are tight! The seat bottoms appear like strong maple and have a skirt on the front. There is an eye bolt at the back of every one (inside) and it appears there might have been a hook on the underside of the chair seats to attach them. One tag says "slip seat / gray" which was probably the original fabric color. Each chair measures 32" high, 20" at the largest part of the seat, and 171/2" deep on the legs, the seats are 17" deep. The seat bottoms are notched to fit in between the back frame.
