I purchased this Kirby vacuum almost five years ago for over $1300.00. http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Cleaning-System-Cleaner-Refurbished/dp/B0017JVX6S/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8=131925XXXX=8-5 This link is to Amazon.com and shows the vacuum with attachments and additional carpet cleaning system that I am selling. I love this machine and have never had any problems or had to repair. It runs very well and the only flaws are cosmetic. As much as I have enjoyed it, I love my hardwood floors more....see the problem? My only objection to the Kirby is it's weight. It is a very heavy machine and can be a nuisance to carry up a flight of stairs. Once you are vacuuming, it is self propelled so you do not have to fight it across the floor by any means. In all fairness, I don't know of any light, plastic machines with a reputation for lasting an average of thirty years.
