This was a pivotal time in music history and for the flute as well. Claude Debussy's Pr élude à l'après-midi d'un faune was premiered in Paris on December 22, 1894 and played by George Barr ère. It is incredible to think that this flute could have played such important music from French composers as it was being composed during this era! The flute is solid silver, C-foot, is unaltered, plays well at A-440 Hz, and comes with a classy wooden case. It has a ravishing sound that Louis Lot is known for!
