1x12 all tube (2 6l6s, 4 12ax7s in the pre), two complete channels featuring 3 band eq, gain, presence, spring reverb, volume, and one master volume knob, along with footswitchable, additional 5 band graphic eq, which is very handy. One channel (rhythm) is nice and clean and can get pretty decent blackface type tones. Not dead-on of course, but it does very well. The second channel (lead) is great. I have owned at least 20 distortion pedals in the last year, and the only one that beats the built-in distortion on this amp is my old, green Sovtek Big Muff. Playing a Tokai Love Rock straight into the amp gets you some classsic distorted tones that'll make you smile.This amp is powerful and will work in almost in any gig you need indoor outdoor no problems with power outputOn the rear the amp has outs for (2) 4ohm cabs and (1) 8ohm cab. It does have the effects loop i/o w/blend knob to blend how much of the effects you want with your tone, and it has the recording out w/silent switch to de-activate the speaker entirely (very handy), headphone jack, and SLAVE out (turns the amp basically into a preamp with only the use of presence and volume knobs), but instead of the 5 way selector knob for use of footswitch, mine just has an additonal 4 way switch to assign ft switch or select channels (there is also a 3 way switch on the front next to Stanby if you want to select channels but do not have the footswitch.please only serious callers only .this is a fine working horse mesa amp selling for a huge discount . phone me at 540-379-XXXX if you desire this amp.Location: fredericksburg
