Olds & Son Super trumpet. Here is afairly early Olds Super trumpet made in 1947. It still has the brasstone ring around the bell before they went to nickel silver. Thetrumpet is in very nice condition and has a recent valve alignmentdone by Bob Reeves. Specs card is enclosed. It has a golden lacquer finish that is approx 90% good. A previous owner had two brass shops agreethat it looks to be original. The case is Olds but probably notoriginal due to the MP receiver sticking out a bit on one end.Valves, slides and spit valves are all in good shape and the hornsplays very smooth and is very fluid. It is a lightweight horn oftenused to play lead parts. It has a third valve slide keeper to preventthe slide from falling off.
