Description:
1975 Aria Model 6710. Dreadnought. Serial # 117593. In good condition. High qualitiy built in Matsumoku, Japan. Solid Spruce top and Mahogany body. Body is a spot on copy of a D28 right down to the bracing. The neck is a hybrid being a bolt on with a thinner taperd neck than the D28 making it very fast. A common failure to the 6710 is the sound hole collapsing at the neck. I had this one repaired by my luthier around 2018. Sound hole was blocked and braced ( see picture) There was a 1cm crack from along the top rosette inlay just below the 19th fret that was filled/repaired with epoxy..( see picture ). Have not had any issuses sence repair. Guitar itself is in overall great shape for 50 years old. Very few light scratches, no chips, no buckle rash on back. front of body has age and stress crackes, See last 5 pictures. Does not affect playability. Playability is amazing. Good action, no buzzing, no dead spots. Monster projection with bright clear tone. 20 frets with a Zero fret all smooth on the ends and little wear. 48mm nut and 25.5" playscale. Bridge is glued and bolted on. Bridge saddel is adjustable. Full bindings along body. New set of 10/50 strings. Chip board case is showing some age with a few scuffs and felt loose in spots. Few treads popping but case is still sound with all hardware. Great guitar for the collector or you players looking to upgrade your sound or add a new axe to your arsenal.
