This chair was so useful for my dad as he became less mobile and it became harder for him to obtain in and out of other chairs. This chair raises as much as make it simple to obtain in and out of the chair. It's in good condition and works fantastic. There are some faint discolorations on the seat. Limited life time service warranty on the frame. It's a hardwood frame with an all steel system. It has lumbar support and a detachable back. It was purchased around 2007 or 2008 and utilized for about for several years.
