Recording King Guitar - Solid Sitka & mahogany, Mint -
Wake Forest, NC
Here is the next guitar up for sale in my on-going quest to empty my house of all my excess musical instruments. This 1 is, like all the other newer models I've listed, in near perfect condition. In fact, it is a "new-old-stock" guitar from a music store that closed. I've never really used it at all. I am not able to find a mark on it anywhere, and the case is in pretty much the same condition. This is a really great dreadnaught guitar and is perfect for bluegrass and all types of flat-picking and many other styles. This particular guitar, along with its mahogany backed sister, are probably 2 of the best buys on the market today when it comes to dreadnaught sized guitars and getting the most bang for your buck. This guitar is a standard long scale at 25.4". The top is solid Sitka spruce, the back is solid mahogany, and the sides are mahogany laminate. It has a dovetail neck joint, bone nut and saddle, and rosewood bridge and fretboard. It plays and sounds great, especially when you consider what the cost is and what you would have to pay to get a similar guitar from another company. Recording King guitars have kind of developed a reputation of being 1 of the best ways to spend your guitar bucks if you're on a tight budget. You get a lot more for your dollar with these than from a lot of others. The RD-08 has been discontinued so it is hard to find comparison prices, especially for 1 that is in such terrific shape as this 1 is. It does come with a hard shell case. As near as I can figure, the manufacturer's list price on the combination case and guitar is around $600. More than likely, you would have found 1 of these new for around $450-$475. I'm only asking $275 for a GREAT sounding and playing guitar with a hard case, all in spotless, mint condition. Feel free to write me using the craigslist link in the ad, or even better, give me a call at 919-435-XXXX if you have any questions or would like to arrange a time to see it and play it. Thanks for checking out my ad.
