We have had some requests from folks that wanted heritage meat but didn't want to raise it themselves, to grow them out and sell it by the pound. Well we are going to try this and see how it works. We have had a nice Red Wattle sow butchered and packaged. If you don't know about the heritage pork, do a search and read about it. Out hogs ARE NOT CONFINED. They free range on pasture all day and night. They have grain available 24/7 if they choose to eat it. They are NEVER fed antibiotics or given any kinds of shots. These are pastured pigs, healthy and raised the way nature intended them to be,Right now I have sausage, ham slices, pork chops, roasts and bacon available. This just came from the butcher today. The great thing about this, is the meat is all vacuum packed and you can see what your getting prior to buying it. If this works out we will continue to raise and sell meat this way. Or if you prefer we can sell you pigs and you fatten them the way you want them. Any cut of meat is going to be $4.00 per pound. That is not bad as bacon is about $4.00 per pound at the store and you really have no idea of what you are getting. No worries about how your meat is handled here, you can come and see for yourselves how your meat is raised. If you have any questions please feel free to call me.
