We have actually had this set for 16 years. It is a fantastic heavy set. 4 reg chairs and 2 captian chairs. The table measures 47" x 47" at the smallest and can go up to a length of 91". There are 2 matching table boards and 2 odd boards that are wood top. I used a large table cloth and nobody observed. The table itself is formica topped. (The chairs might be redone.) No person would tip in these chairs, good sitting. When the extended household or grandkids are over, Great for a basement. Please no Sunday calls.
