Sony CDP-X55ES Compact Disc CD Player with Remote, Excellent ConditionI’m selling this CD player for my Dad, who used to be an audio enthusiast, but now has dementia and significant hearing loss. Sadly, he no longer has any interest in listening to music. So it’s time to pass his equipment on to someone who can truly appreciate their quality. I’ve already sold the matching power amplifier, control amplifier, and tuner.According to the review at HiFi-Classic.net (hifi-classic dot net/review/sony-cdp-x55es-6.html),“the Sony CDP-X55ES represents the current state of the art in CD players. Virtually every measurement surpassed those of the best players we have tested in the past. Although perhaps a couple of its individual measurements have been matched or slightly exceeded by other units, no other has come so close to overall perfection as the CDP-X55ES.”Its dimensions are 18-3/8” W x 4 3/4” H x 14” D. It weighs about 28pounds. Therefore, if you can pick it up in Pittsburgh, you will save a lot on shipping. Shipping will be via one of the ground shipping services (USPS, UPS, or FedEx). Since I travel to Philadelphia periodically, you could also pick it up there, but in that case you'd have to wait until my next trip there.This unit is in excellent condition. The remote control and owner’s manual are included.Both my parents' home and my home have always been smoke-free.I promise to work with you to make the transaction as smooth, quick, and pleasant as possible.
