Description:
Custom modified Squier Marcus Miller bass with Squier Precision bass neck. Professionally setup, plays great - low action, great condition.Started out as a Squier Jazz bass body (soft maple). Decided to experiment with it a bit. - Got hold of a genuine Fender Marcus Miller preamp, controls and cover, routed out the body so it would fit. - Replaced the volume controls with stacked volume/tone controls, with the stacked tone controls to be used when using bass in passive mode. When in active mode, the preamp's bass and treble controls are active.- Added set of vintage ('82) Dimarzio Model J pickups (DP123). - Had a spare neck from a Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass, so used that (I mainly play P-bass, so that's why).- Bridge is an Omega Bass bridge, high mass.- Battery cavity from original body is used, not the space under the front battery cover.- Strung with D'Addario's 45-100 round woundNeck shows some usage wear, frets all still decent. A few dings here and there on the body. Note that the neck plate bears the Fender F logo, but that was the only one I had available at the time. It is by no means a Fender body.
