Two-tone stainless steel and 14-karat yellow gold TAG Heuer Professional quartz watch with sapphire crystal and uncommon white-dial/black-bezel combination and date window. Waterproof to 600 feet. Bracelet has extension for using outdoors your wetsuit or sweatshirt. Retailed for $1,195. This heirloom watch is the predecessor to TAG Heuer's iconic Aquaracer design, and it draws the attention of collectors and horologists. Many were offered with a black dial, but this particular dial/bezel combination is quite rare. In 2010 I had the hands, face, and bezel "relumed" (repainted the glowing parts) and serviced (taken apart, cleaned, lubed, and reassembled with brand-new waterproof gaskets) by a TAG dealer in Jackson, Wyo . The bezel reveals its age, but I've never ever troubled to have it repainted, since I take pleasure in the character. The 14-karat plating on some of the links is using as is anticipated. The date occasionally "forgets" to turn at midnight. Bezel, crown, and clasp all run with pleasing "clicks". Regular wear on the bracelet. TAG is among THE distinctive Swiss luxury watch brand names, founded in 1860 as Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG.
