Their shop adjustment and set up are considered by experts to be excellent and far exceeding the specs of student grade instruments. The bridge has been delicately carved for max performance from a high grade of maple. The sound post installation job is just right to get great sound from the instrumentThis instrument has not been played other than for rare demonstrations at special events as it has been kept on display in our home in controlled climatic conditions in our curio cabinet for valuable items. It is virtually brand new and in mint condition even though it was completed by the German Master Hand Crafstmens in the year 2000. It has that distinction of the new millennium as its year of completion.It is a Stradivari pattern with beautiful premium fittings - pegs, chin rest and tailpiece are an attractive, durable and exotic boxwood. Fingerboard is premium ebony.Semi gloss honey colored varnish protects the woods. The back and sides have some nice flame grain to the one piece maple back. The top is a premium close grain spruce top with artistic work done in the F holes, peg box and purfling..This instrument originally retailed for $2,500 back in 2001. The Euro has strengthened against the dollar and it would cost 50% more today (estimated at $3,700 - $3,800) and going higher as currencies depreciate.I have a beautiful hard oblong black case with canvas cover to protect the violin. It has accessory pockets in the cover and the interior. The material inside is a rich red deluxe velour and there is a velour blanket cover for the violin. It is valued new at $250.There are some nice accessories including a functional display stand for use as a display or in performances,/rehearsals where the violinists wants the violin safely at hand and ready for use out of the case. Stand holds a bow also. These accessories are valued at over $100 total.There is no bow with the accessories. Players at this level shop independently for their preference in a bow.Location: Pace, Florida
